Herbicide for the elimination of a wide range of weeds on sunflower by post-emergence treatment in the CLEARFIELD® production system.
The drug inhibits the enzyme acetolactate synthase (ALS). This enzyme is found only in plants and bacteria, it is not present in animals. ALS is a catalyst for the biosynthesis of amino acids: valine, leucine and isoleucine. Inhibition of ALS blocks protein synthesis, which in turn leads to the death of weeds.
